Therapeutic massage uses medium firm pressure to promote relaxation and ease muscle tension. This blend of techniques helps redefine your body's natural alignment. Traction (light pulling), or pin and stretch or cross fiber techniques may be applied to help target "knots" in high stress areas such as the neck and shoulders or low back. This is best for those who have full body in mind, but you may need a specific area worked on.

Deep Tissue Massage
Deep tissue techniques are designed to remove severe muscle and connective tissue tension and dysfunction including referral pain. Referral pain occurs when you have a pain located in one area and you can feel pain radiate or move into other areas of the body. It helps to improve range of motion and heal injuries below the surface. This is best for those who have goals for specific problem or if you just like full body massage with very firm pressure.
Swedish Massage
Swedish massage uses light pressure and long flowing strokes to promote relaxation and increase lymph and blood flow. It eases muscle tension and helps you if you're having trouble sleeping. It is a classic massage that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation. This is best for those who need to destress your mind and body and also increase your body's metabolism.
Prenatal Massage
Prenatal massage focuses on addressing the special needs of expecting women. Specially-designed massage table cushions and side-lying positions are used to prevent putting pressure on the abdomen allowing women to lay on their stomach up to a certain point in pregnancy. This position allows expecting mothers to ease muscle tension in their common stress areas and low back and hip tension caused by pregnancy. Good for any stage of pregnancy however, if you are considered to have a high-risk pregnancy, it's best to wait until after delivery to receive a massage.
Hot Stone Massage
Smooth balsam stones are heated and with oil used on the full body. The therapeutic effect of heat that comes from the stones relaxes muscles more deeply, if you struggle with massages "hurting" give this method a try. This blended technique of hot stones and Swedish or Therapeutic massage is excellent if you've never had a massage before or if you need a deep tissue massage, but you don't enjoy the pain that comes with it. Not recommended for those who are on high doses of blood thinners.
